Human Resources Generalist-Employee Relations:
On behalf of our Human Resources client, Procom is searching for a Human Resources Generalist-Employee Relations for a 6-month contract. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Houston office. 

Human Resources Generalist-Employee Relations - Job Description:
The HR Generalist, Employee Relations acts as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, helping build a positive, respectful, and compliant workplace. This role owns employee relations matters, workplace investigations, and employee concerns, while guiding managers on policy, employment practices, and workplace expectations.

Human Resources Generalist-Employee Relations - Responsibilities:
• Serve as the main HR point of contact for employee relations matters, guiding employees and leaders on workplace concerns, complaints, policy questions, and conduct issues.
• Partner with management on performance concerns, attendance issues, workplace conflicts, and related matters.
• Advise leaders on corrective action, performance improvement plans, and disciplinary steps.
• Lead conflict resolution and mediation efforts to support healthy working relationships and team dynamics.
• Track employee relations trends and recommend proactive fixes to improve engagement and culture.
• Conduct prompt, thorough, impartial investigations into policy violations, misconduct, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, ethics concerns, and other complaints.
• Prepare detailed investigation reports, findings, recommendations, and executive summaries.

Human Resources Generalist-Employee Relations - Mandatory Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
• 3-5+ years of HR experience with a strong focus on employee relations, investigations, or workplace compliance.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations and preparing findings.
• Solid knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
• Strong conflict resolution, interviewing, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with discretion.

Human Resources Generalist-Employee Relations – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP).
• Experience supporting a complex, multi-location workforce.
• Experience partnering with Legal and Labor Relations functions.
• Workplace investigation training or certification.
• Utility, energy, manufacturing, or other highly regulated industry experience.

This is a 6-month contract
