Implementation Specialist:
On behalf of our Utilities client, Procom is searching for an Implementation Specialist for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Vaughan office.
Implementation Specialist - Job Description:
The Implementation Specialist will support the delivery of our client's Integrated Network Management (INM) solution for the Grid Analytics & Data Modernization team and the Asset Strategy & Operations division. The role involves coordinating requirements, configuration, data analysis, integration and migration, testing, deployment, and adoption activities, ensuring deliverables meet scope, schedule, quality, security, and operational-readiness expectations.
Implementation Specialist - Responsibilities:
• Coordinate day-to-day INM implementation activities, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, and action items across workstreams.
• Work with the implementation vendor, IT, cybersecurity, data owners, and ASO stakeholders to confirm requirements, priorities, acceptance criteria, and delivery responsibilities.
• Facilitate requirements and design workshops; document user journeys, business processes, functional requirements, and configuration decisions.
• Lead and support INM data integration and migration activities, including source-system analysis, data profiling, source-to-target mapping, and data-quality validation.
• Develop and maintain SQL and Python scripts for data extraction, profiling, transformation, and migration validation.
• Analyze and visualize implementation metrics through dashboards and reports to support delivery decisions.
• Coordinate system configuration, environments, interfaces, releases, and deployment-readiness activities.
• Develop and execute test plans and test cases for various testing phases; manage defects through resolution.
• Support implementation of INM forms, workflows, inspections, and operational use cases.
• Prepare implementation plans, data dictionaries, process maps, status reports, and training materials.
• Support end-user training, change management, business readiness, go-live, hypercare, and transition to operational support.
Implementation Specialist - Mandatory Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in enterprise software implementation or digital transformation projects, preferably in utility operations or data platforms.
• Practical knowledge of the implementation lifecycle, including requirements, configuration, integration, and data migration.
• Strong project coordination, vendor management, and delivery documentation skills.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, relational databases, data integration, APIs, ETL, data profiling, and reconciliation.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple workstreams.
• Effective communication and facilitation skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Implementation Specialist – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience with Python, R, Power BI, Tableau, or Alteryx.
• Experience translating business and technical requirements into data mappings and validation rules.
• Ability to learn electrical distribution concepts related to asset management and control room processes.
• Experience with IEC CIM, network models, or INM solutions.
Implementation Specialist – Assignment Length:
This is a 12-month contract position.

Vaughan, Ontario, Canada. This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days in the office.
