Information Security Specialist:
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for an Information Security Specialist for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Information Security Specialist - Job Description:
This role involves providing governance, risk, compliance, and issue remediation oversight and control best practices that align with the bank’s Global Technology Solutions strategy. The project includes both day-to-day operations and project-based tasks to support technology infrastructure and application risk mitigation.

Information Security Specialist - Responsibilities:
• Lead assessments of audit and regulatory finding remediations
• Provide advice and guidance on IT Risk Governance Control Frameworks
• Contribute to the development of Governance Oversight & Control practices
• Identify emerging themes and provide specialized business management advice
• Lead continuous improvement projects utilizing agile/lean practices

Information Security Specialist - Mandatory Skills:
• IT audit - IT Governance Controls and Standards – 10 years
• Quality assurance as it relates to remediation plans – 10 years
• Very strong communication skills – written and verbal
• IT governance experience in information security and controls risk frameworks – 10 years
• Experience with assessing evaluation of audit and regulatory remediation – 10 years
• Knowledge and experience with various technology tools including RSA Archer, JIRA, Confluence, Sharepoint, MS Office, Excel, SERVICENOW
• CISA certification

Information Security Specialist – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• CISSP certification or equivalent experience
• Experience with IOR methodology or comparable audit validation approaches
• Strong auditor mindset
• Experience developing sample-based test plans – 10 years
• Team player – collaborate well with other team members

Information Security Specialist – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension.
