Insolvency Specialist
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for an Insolvency Specialist for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 1 day onsite per month at our client’s Mississauga, Ontario office.

Insolvency Specialist - Job Description:
This role focuses on managing bankruptcies, consumer proposals, and credit counseling within the late-stage collections line of business. The Insolvency Specialist will analyze financial statements, determine business liabilities, and apply relevant legislation to maximize asset recovery and other insolvency proceedings.

Insolvency Specialist - Responsibilities:
• Assess the financial situation of individuals or businesses to determine the appropriate course of action
• Prepare and submit necessary documentation relating to insolvency procedures
• Keep up to date with changes in insolvency law and practice
• Establish expertise with Consumer Collections personnel as a key support contact/resource/coach
• Analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations
• Escalate complex or unresolved customer situations to managers as required
• Deliver exceptional customer service that builds trust through expertise, responsive service, and support

Insolvency Specialist - Mandatory Skills:
• At least 1 year of direct Insolvency experience
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Canadian Financial Institutions in the field of Bankruptcy and Insolvency Administrative Department
• Minimum 1-2 years of Collections experience recovering Canadian banking products
• Basic knowledge of Canadian Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act
• Strong written/verbal communication skills
• Collaboration & team skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills

Insolvency Specialist – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Knowledge of trustee/vendor platforms
• Previous analyst/problem-solving skills
• Bilingual French/English

Insolvency Specialist – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension or conversion to full-time employment.
