Job Description
Integration Testing Specialist:
On behalf of our Consulting client, Procom is searching for an Integration Testing Specialist for a 12-month role. This position is onsite at our client’s Toronto, Ontario office.
Integration Testing Specialist - Job Description:
The Integration Testing Specialist will support the preparation of test plans, procedures, and reports to validate specified requirements. The role involves performing tests in-plant and at project sites in accordance with these test plans and procedures, supporting project ITV work.
Integration Testing Specialist - Responsibilities:
• Perform analysis of system, subsystem, and software requirements to define validation methods and test cases
• Conduct integration and test activities in-house and at project sites to mitigate key project commissioning risks
• Prepare Test Procedures in accordance with ITV test plans
• Perform commissioning tests in plant and at project sites
• Prepare test automation scripts
• Prepare test reports recording the pass/fail status of planned tests and identify problems detected during the tests
• Develop product knowledge through formal and informal training, OJT, and self-study
• Investigate test anomalies through analysis of data files, design documentation, and interaction with development departments
• Prepare problem reports in the defect tracking system describing test failures and defects
• Perform traceability analysis and design reviews
• Participate in resolving integration issues, problem identification, analysis, and rectification of anomalies
• Perform the independent review of test results
Integration Testing Specialist - Mandatory Skills:
• B.A.Sc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent
• 1-2 years’ experience in testing of embedded real-time systems or equivalent software or hardware test experience
• Experience with real-time embedded mission-critical system testing
• Knowledge of railway signaling techniques
• Knowledge of test methods and procedures
• Competence in technical writing
• Fluent English language
Integration Testing Specialist – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Knowledge or experience working with Railway systems
• Company product knowledge (SelTrac)
• Understanding of the roles of other departments as relating to Verification and Validation/Test
Integration Testing Specialist – Assignment Length:
This is a 12-month contract opportunity.
