Job Description
Contracts Advisor - Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Contracts Advisor to interface within their contracting and procurement team and collaborate with internal stakeholders and contractors to maintain services across all project areas and sites.
Contracts Advisor - Responsibilities:
- Support development of project specific SCM execution plans, including formulation of sourcing strategies, commercial strategies, procurement plan and contracting plan through the various D&MP stages of the project
- Build relationships with the project execution team, identifying project priorities to provide effective SCM support for successful project execution
- Coordinate the negotiation, execution and administration of complex high value contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and client standards while mitigating risks and maximizing value opportunity for the organization
- Coordinate the development of Scopes of Work, facilitating issuance of clear, functional Contracts, Sub-agreements or Change Orders through change management
- Plan, organize and lead progress meetings for assigned contracts and scopes, ensuring objectives are met and action items are captured
- Liaise with and facilitate discussions amongst various project stakeholders and integrated team members for effective performance of SCM activities
- Liaise with other functional groups, e.g., Category Management, Commercial, Legal, EH&S, Finance, for appropriate expertise/support and to ensure best practice and alignment
- Ensure appropriate contractors' pre-qualification, create, implement and administer supply, contracts and service agreements to completion and close out
- Implement and maintain tracking systems and ensure signing authorities are adhered to for commitments
Contracts Advisor - Mandatory Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in a contracts administration role with experience in Capital or Business Unit Projects
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, and with SAP
- Proficiency with Supply Chain Projects Procedures and Work Practices
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and tight deadlines
- Professional level of knowledge related to SCM Practices and processes, including the contract lifecycle, from RFP through to Close-out
- Demonstrated expertise in contract management, contract and procurement law
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills, as well as a collaborative approach when working with both internal and external stakeholders
Contracts Advisor - Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Post-secondary education in business or supply chain management
- Experience with OEMS (considered an asset)

Contracts Advisor - Assignment Location:
Calgary, AB. Onsite (office based), regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday. Applicants will need to provide their own device (BYOD).
