Job Description

Intermediate Project Manager:
On behalf of our public sector client, Procom is searching for an Intermediate Project Manager for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Intermediate Project Manager - Job Description:
This role involves managing transformational enterprise-wide IT projects for. The project focuses on upgrading and implementing new IT systems across multiple departments to enhance efficiency and service delivery.

Intermediate Project Manager - Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage enterprise-level transformation projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and business needs.
• Oversee project charter development, detailed planning and scheduling, budgeting, risk and issue management, and stakeholder engagement.
• Drive procurement processes for technology software solutions, including vendor evaluations and contract negotiations.
• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial controls and adherence to corporate financial policies.
• Establish and maintain effective partnerships with executive stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
• Supervise and provide leadership to project teams, including workload management and performance oversight.
• Provide executive-level reporting on project progress, financial performance, and strategic alignment.

Intermediate Project Manager - Mandatory Skills:
• Post-secondary education in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Extensive experience managing transformational enterprise-wide IT projects in complex environments.
• Experience with contract negotiations, procurement procedures, and vendor management.
• Proficiency in project management tools like Microsoft Enterprise Project Management and SharePoint.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience managing technical project teams in application development and infrastructure solutions.

Intermediate Project Manager – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification.
• Experience managing projects focused on large technology procurement.
• Public sector experience.
• Knowledge of using project management tools for planning and implementing complex projects.
• Ability to manage large-scale multi-divisional technology projects.

Intermediate Project Manager – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract with potential for extension.

Intermediate Project Manager - Start Date:
ASAP.

Intermediate Project Manager - Assignment Location:
Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days in the office per week.
