Procom is currently looking for a Telecommunications Analyst for our client in the public sector

LOCATION: ONSITE (THE CLIENT IS IN THE GATINEAU AREA)
SOME TRAVEL AND OVERTIME MAY BE REQUIRED

Mandatory Skills

• Must have a minimum of 12 months of experience within the past 2 years providing technical support to an enterprise network

The scope of work of the Contract includes, but is not limited to:

The Telecommunications Analyst professional will be expected to execute the following tasks during this contract, but not limited to:

• Conduct a physical survey to identify the computer hardware, routers, switches, network drop locations and other computer networking equipment associated with QETE local area networks (hereafter “QETE LANs”);
• Record the manufacturer, model, serial number, version number, QETE tag, and other characteristics of the QETE LAN devices and applications in a SharePoint database;
• For network infrastructure hardware, identify the provider, area covered, use, supported end-users, connected peripheral equipment and security details
• Identify, update and secure access credentials to meet QETE 1-3 security requirements
• Establish logging required for a live monitoring visual product to represent QETE LAN network coverage, status of network nodes and usage.
• Provide logistical support to the team and projects.
• Liaise with internal clients (including management), internal and external partners to resolve issues, recommend improvements or next steps.
• The Project Authority will assign detailed Tasks to the Contractors on a regular cadence based on project needs. The project authority will monitor the deliverables of the Contractors on a regular basis and ensure that work is completed to the satisfaction of the project authority.

Compétences obligatoires
 

• Doit posséder un minimum de 12 mois d'expérience au cours des 2 dernières années dans la prestation de soutien technique à un réseau d'entreprise.

La portée des travaux du contrat comprend, sans s'y limiter:

Le ou la professionnel(le) en télécommunications devra exécuter les tâches suivantes au cours de ce contrat, sans s'y limiter:
 

• Effectuer une inspection physique afin d'identifier le matériel informatique, les routeurs, les commutateurs, les emplacements des points de raccordement réseau et tout autre équipement de réseautique associé aux réseaux locaux du QETE (ci-après les « réseaux locaux QETE »);
• Consigner le fabricant, le modèle, le numéro de série, le numéro de version, l'étiquette QETE et d'autres caractéristiques des dispositifs et applications des réseaux locaux QETE dans une base de données SharePoint;
• Pour le matériel d'infrastructure réseau, identifier le fournisseur, la zone couverte, l'utilisation, les utilisateurs finaux desservis, l'équipement périphérique connecté et les détails de sécurité;
• Identifier, mettre à jour et sécuriser les identifiants d'accès afin de répondre aux exigences de sécurité QETE 1-3;
• Établir la journalisation nécessaire à un produit visuel de surveillance en temps réel représentant la couverture du réseau local QETE, l'état des nœuds réseau et leur utilisation;
• Fournir un soutien logistique à l'équipe et aux projets;
• Assurer la liaison avec les clients internes (y compris la direction) ainsi qu'avec les partenaires internes et externes afin de résoudre les problèmes, de recommander des améliorations ou de proposer les prochaines étapes.
• L'autorité contractante assignera aux entrepreneurs des tâches détaillées selon une cadence régulière, en fonction des besoins du projet. L'autorité contractante surveillera régulièrement les livrables des entrepreneurs et s'assurera que le travail est exécuté à sa satisfaction.

This posting is for a public sector assignment. Compensation will be determined through the competitive bidding process and will be within the approved rate structure for this assignment.
