Internal Controls Specialist SOX:
On behalf of our Assurance client, Procom is searching for an Internal Controls Specialist SOX for a 3.5-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Winnipeg, Manitoba office.

Internal Controls Specialist SOX - Job Description:
The project involves working alongside a PwC team to assist a Winnipeg-based organization with an Internal controls C-SOX to US SOX uplift. The role focuses on enhancing and aligning internal controls with US SOX standards to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.

Internal Controls Specialist SOX - Responsibilities:
• Complete control walkthroughs and design assessments
• Assist management with remediations
• Document controls
• Review evidence and conduct control testing

Internal Controls Specialist SOX - Mandatory Skills:
• CPA designation, with CIA and/or CISA preferred
• 5+ years of experience in Internal Controls, preferably with US SOX organizations
• Technical SOX knowledge
• Proficiency with Microsoft/Google suites
• Experience with GRC tech (Workiva)
• Strong interpersonal skills for management support and coaching
• Ability to work in a team environment with strong time management and organizational skills

Internal Controls Specialist SOX – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with AI tools, including co-pilot
• Problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills
• Accessible approach to teamwork

Internal Controls Specialist SOX – Assignment Length:
This is a 3.5-month contract position.
