IT Director:
On behalf of our clean energy client, Procom is searching for an IT Director for a permanent role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

IT Director - Job Description:
Our client is seeking an entrepreneurial Director of Technology to shape the future operations of their organization, not just manage systems. This is a newly defined role where you will oversee IT operations, software development, and compliance, driving innovation and operational stability.

IT Director - Responsibilities:
• Own and manage the organization's technology roadmap, including cloud infrastructure strategy.
• Act as a thought leader and advisor to the executive team on technology strategy and spending.
• Lead and mentor a high-impact IT team, fostering a culture of ownership and accountability.
• Drive product and platform development, ensuring code quality and scalable architecture.
• Ensure reliable, secure, and scalable IT infrastructure and manage incident response.
• Oversee compliance with SOC 1 and SOC 2 audit obligations and IT general controls.
• Manage IoT device deployment and digital operations, bridging IT and operational technology systems.

IT Director - Mandatory Skills:
• 8-10+ years of progressive experience in technology roles, with at least 3 years in leadership.
• Proven experience in managing both IT operations and software development functions.
• Experience with SOC 1 and SOC 2 audit cycles and ITGCs.
• Hands-on knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and cybersecurity best practices.
• Strong communication skills, translating complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

IT Director – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Familiarity with IoT ecosystems and data pipelines.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a builder mentality.
• Ability to balance business enablement with risk.
• Resourcefulness in maximizing ROI.
• Growth-oriented, fostering a culture of collaboration and development.
