Job Description
IT Firewall Administrator:
On behalf of our healthcare client, Procom is searching for an IT Firewall Administrator.
IT Firewall Administrator - Job Description:
- Implement / change firewall, proxy IDS/IPS rules
- Work with customers / vendors to troubleshoot project related firewall, proxy and IDS/IPS issues
- Update project / operational documentation and progress production change requests as required for firewall and zoning related activities
- Provide, on an on-demand basis, the same services during regular working hours when activated through the on-call process.
- Hours may vary from week to week based on project requirements and operational needs.
- This position will require occasional after hours, overnight, weekend, and statutory holiday work to support planned maintenance activities, system upgrades, migrations, and other project related activities that must be performed outside of regular business hours. The consultant must be available to work these schedules as required and approved by PHSA Management.
IT Firewall Administrator - Mandatory Skills: A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a university degree or technical diploma in a Computer Science program, plus related certifications, and at least four (4) years of recent experience implementing / supporting firewall rules, active directory, and DNS in a large, complex corporate environment with multiple data centres. In addition, the selected candidate will have the following experience:
- Strong understanding of logical network and firewalling principles
- Strong operational knowledge of Fortinet/Palo Alto/Cisco Firewalls, F5 LTM, and Microsoft ISA/TMG
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
- Self-directed, highly motivated, and results-oriented
- Good communication, customer interaction, and organizational skills
- Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects and multi-task
- Team player with well-developed interpersonal skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office
- CCNA or equivalent certification is preferred
2027/03/31 with possible 3 five months extensions.
