Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the technical transition of users during the company integration
  • Prepare and deploy new laptops for end users ahead of transition day
    • Devices will be built using documented standard operating environment (SOE) processes, via Microsoft Intune
  • Provide general desktop support in a Microsoft Windows environment
  • Perform light networking tasks, including basic troubleshooting, patching network cables, and working in network racks as required
  • Manage incidents and service requests using ServiceNow
  • Work closely with internal IT teams (located in USA and Australia) to ensure a smooth transition experience for end users
 
Technical Skills & Experience
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems (Windows 11)
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 services including Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive
  • Experience using Microsoft Intune for device build and management
  • Experience administering Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online and the Microsoft 365 Admin Centre
  • Experience supporting laptop hardware, and standard desktop support duties
  • Knowledge of on?premises Active Directory and Microsoft Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra)

  • Strong customer service mindset with excellent communication skills
  • Well organised and able to manage tasks independently
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with users and stakeholders
  • Comfortable working autonomously as well as collaboratively with a remote team
  • Able to strictly follow documented processes and policies
  • Willingness to attend occasional out?of?hours Teams meetings if required (head office is in Australia)

Additional info:
  • Budget: $40-$50 CAD per hour
  • Work model: Onsite only, remote work possible in times of sickness/injury etc, but much of the role will be hands-on, particularly during cutover date
  • Ideal start / end date: Monday 17 August - Friday, 13 November
  • Possibility of extension: At this stage I would rate the chance as low-medium, however if the engagement goes very well, it’s possible we could extend
  • After hours requirement: unlikely, apart from potentially attending Teams meetings before or after normally business hours, or if something dramatically breaks in the Krux office
  • Overtime: as above, it’s unlikely – but if so, rate would be 1.5x
  • Travel requirements: not required, the intention is for the candidate to be located at the Krux office only
  • Candidate selection / Interviews: we would like to know that there are a few candidates, and also a fallback if the main selected candidate became unavailable in our critical period (just before and just after cutover date: Monday the 28th of September). Because of the time difference, our IT Support Lead in North America will perform interviews in your business hours.
