IT Operations Manager:
On behalf of our Utilities client, Procom is searching for an IT Operations Manager for a 1-year role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Edmonton office.

IT Operations Manager - Job Description:
The IT Operations Manager will be accountable for the performance, stability, and continuous improvement of an assigned IT Applications operational area within Application Services. The successful candidate will lead a team of technology professionals to ensure reliable, secure, and effective technology services that support business operations.

IT Operations Manager - Responsibilities:
• Provide input into operational plans, priorities, budgets, and strategic direction
• Lead and manage a team responsible for the delivery, support, and continuous improvement of IT services
• Build strong relationships with business stakeholders to ensure technology services support operational objectives
• Ensure operational activities are planned and delivered with a focus on service quality and customer satisfaction
• Collaborate with architecture, project delivery, cybersecurity, infrastructure, data, and business teams
• Create and maintain high-performing teams through employee development and coaching
• Oversee vendor and contractor relationships to ensure service commitments are achieved

IT Operations Manager - Mandatory Skills:
• Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or Diploma in Computer Engineering/System Technology
• Minimum 2 years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience within an IT operational, support, application, data, or service delivery environment
• Experience with IT service management principles and operational support practices
• Strong understanding of operational performance metrics, reporting, and service management frameworks
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to balance customer expectations with organizational objectives

IT Operations Manager – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• ITIL, PMP, Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, or related certifications
• Experience managing enterprise-scale operational environments
• Experience leading organizational continuous improvement initiatives
• Experience managing cross-functional teams and complex stakeholder environments
• Some project management experience

IT Operations Manager – Assignment Length:
This is a 1-year term with the potential for further extension.
