On behalf of our public sector client, Procom is searching for an IT Program Manager - Expert for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Calgary office. Open to fully remote candidates 

IT Program Manager - Expert - Job Description:
Seeking an experienced and strategic leader to spearhead a comprehensive AI Governance Review and Implementation program. This role involves guiding the evolution of the AI governance model to ensure safe, transparent, and scalable adoption of AI technologies, such as Microsoft Copilot and agentic AI capabilities.

IT Program Manager - Expert - Responsibilities:
• Lead the refinement and implementation of the AI governance framework.
• Define and operationalize governance structures, including decision rights and escalation paths.
• Implement structured AI intake, risk classification, and tiered review processes.
• Integrate privacy, legal, ethical, and human rights considerations across the AI lifecycle.
• Lead cross-functional program execution involving IT and corporate partners.
• Design AI transparency and reporting frameworks.
• Establish scalable governance processes for enterprise AI adoption.

IT Program Manager - Expert - Mandatory Skills:
• Ten years' IT project management experience, with four years in IT program management.
• Experience developing AI governance models and decision-rights structures.
• Experience with risk-based regulatory and compliance frameworks for AI.
• Strong senior leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Knowledge of public-sector compliance, privacy, and accountability requirements.

IT Program Manager - Expert – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with enterprise platforms, particularly Microsoft ecosystem.
• Familiarity with generative AI risks and mitigation approaches.
• Ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

IT Program Manager - Expert – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract position, with potential extension to 12 months.

IT Program Manager - Expert - Assignment Location:
Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days in the office. Open to fully remote candidates that can support MST timezone.
