IT Project Controller (Junior):
On behalf of our Energy client, Procom is searching for an IT Project Controller (Junior) for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Charleston, WV 25301 office.

IT Project Controller (Junior) - Job Description:
The IT Project Controller (Junior) will be responsible for providing detailed capital project cost support, including monitoring, forecasting, and controlling the project budget. The role involves collaborating with the project team to ensure accurate representation of commitments and risk items in the project forecast.

IT Project Controller (Junior) - Responsibilities:
• Conduct accounting transfers to ensure proper cost placement
• Maintain work orders through SAP/PowerPlan
• Work on requisition closeout continuously
• Partner with Field Material Coordinator for materials tracking
• Coordinate with Project Team to review data for project forecast accuracy
• Collaborate with Project Manager to define construction cost tracking
• Track use of contingency, management reserve, and approved changes to project budget
• Analyze, track, and report project financial KPIs
• Participate in project meetings and perform risk assessments
• Support the Project Manager with financial reporting for contracts
• Perform Final Cost Reconciliation
• Secure records in compliance with company requirements
• Identify opportunities for improvement in forecasting and cost control

IT Project Controller (Junior) - Mandatory Skills:
• Proven supportive team member with leadership and motivational skills
• Knowledge of project and portfolio management processes
• Excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication skills
• Ability to analyze project cost data and communicate findings
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Working knowledge of cost and schedule data relationships
• Organized with strong problem-solving skills

IT Project Controller (Junior) – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with cost engineering principles and methods
• Proficient in Microsoft Desktop software
• Experience with SAP/PowerPlan
• Understanding of risk evaluation and management
• Willingness to travel as needed

This is a 12-month contract position.
