IT Vendor Management Specialist  On behalf of our client in the Transportation Sector, Procom is looking for an IT Vendor Management Specialist  IT Vendor Management Advisor – Job Description 

• We are seeking an IT Vendor Management Advisor for a temporary contract role 

• This position will involve creation and participation in IT RFPs, managing IT contract performance, leading process reviews, and collaborating with cross-functional teams 

• The role requires experience in creating reports, dashboards, and data visualizations, and working with complex applications like Oracle and Power BI 

• Managing/participating in IT RFPs (buy-side) for IT solutions and services, including developing package documents, providing consultation on sourcing strategies, participating in the evaluation process, and contract negotiation 

• Managing and reporting IT contract performance, including governance, risk, SLA analysis, and financials 

• Leading process reviews/changes, team transformations, and transition of services due to vendor or contract changes. 

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including executives and managers, to provide data-driven insights and recommendations that support strategic decision-making processes 

• Demonstrating experience in creating reports, dashboards, and data visualizations for effective communication of VMO insights and findings to various internal and external stakeholders 

• Working in an IT environment and using complex applications and tools to deliver various reports and analytics such as Oracle and Power BI 

IT Vendor Management Advisor – Mandatory Skills 

• Proven ability to negotiate IT contracts to ensure mandatory requirements and standards are achieved 

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and vendors 

• Conducting periodic (monthly/quarterly) meetings with vendors and stakeholders to ensure Tier 1 & 2 vendors are performing according to the contractual obligations 

• Ability to identify patterns, correlations, and trends from data that can provide insights into contract performance, VMO operations, vendor health, and market dynamics 

• Strong influential skills with the ability to glean insights and translate them into business recommendations for senior management 

• Ability to support change and introduce new processes and tools into the working environment, including ongoing support for team members 

• Strong communication skills and creative thinking to handle vendor disputes and issues
