On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Java Developer - Migration - Node to Springboot, API Development for a 2-year contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Java Developer - Migration - Node to Springboot, API Development - Job Description:
The project involves migrating applications from Node.js to Spring Boot and upscaling using Azure. The focus is on API development and ensuring seamless integration with mainframe systems.

Java Developer - Migration - Node to Springboot, API Development - Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain APIs using Spring Boot
• Migrate existing applications from Node.js to Spring Boot
• Set up databases for new APIs from the ground up
• Work on Azure migration and integration
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure project success

Java Developer - Migration - Node to Springboot, API Development - Mandatory Skills:
• 5+ years of experience with Spring Boot and API development
• Experience with database setup for new APIs
• Proven experience in migration from Node.js to Spring Boot
• Azure migration experience
• Understanding of API connections to mainframe systems
• Prior experience in banking or financial institutions

Java Developer - Migration - Node to Springboot, API Development – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Azure fundamentals or Java certifications
• Experience with prior bank projects
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Java Developer - Migration - Node to Springboot, API Development – Assignment Length:
This is a 2-year contract position.
