Java Developer

On behalf of our public sector client we are seeking a Java Developer to support long-term contract work.

Tasks

• Focus on designing/architecting, building, deploying and maintaining Java-based applications in support of business goals and objectives, including data storage, security, server logic and integration.

Requirements
 

• University undergraduate degree or diploma in Computer Science or Engineering or 5+ years of experience of progressive experience in IT.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience developing software solutions using Java.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience working with business users to translate business
• requirements into technical requirements and collaborate with stakeholders in delivery of iterative software solutions.
• A minimum of three 3 years’ experience with complex Data technologies including Hadoop, HBase, and related Apache Software Foundation Projects.

Security Requirement:  Secret/Top Secret (eligible)
Work Location:  Hybrid Ottawa
Contract Duration:  1 year, with options for renewal
