Java Developer - Senior:
On behalf of our Financial Services client, Procom is searching for a Java Developer - Senior for a 6-month role. This position is onsite at our client’s office in Austin or Dallas, TX.

Java Developer - Senior - Job Description:
The Client Data Technology team is responsible for Charles Schwab's core client data platform, focusing on building sophisticated systems for segmentation, client preferences, and experiences. This project involves designing the next iteration of their platform to support current and future business capabilities, enhancing customer experiences.

Java Developer - Senior - Responsibilities:
• Understand the needs of the business and recommend optimal solutions.
• Identify gaps and mitigate risks related to delivery, scalability, and performance.
• Create architectural diagrams, develop software codes, and automated test scripts.
• Architect and develop solutions aligned with the organization's vision.
• Deliver work on time and with quality.
• Lead a team and coach them on engineering excellence.
• Support team on critical production issues.
• Build relationships with adjacent domains and teams.

Java Developer - Senior - Mandatory Skills:
• 6+ years of experience with Java, Spring framework, cloud development, and Web Services (REST, SOAP).
• Hands-on experience with GenAI coding assistants like GitHub Copilot.
• 3+ years of experience with modern/cloud-compatible databases like PostgreSQL.
• 3+ years of experience in cloud deployment in a CI/CD model.
• 3+ years of experience with messaging technologies like RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• 5+ years of exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• 1+ years of Schwab technology domain experience.

Java Developer - Senior – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Knowledge of Agile methodology.
• Experience in IT Transformations and system modernization initiatives.
• 2+ years of Python experience.
• Experience with the Atlassian tool stack (JIRA, Confluence).
• Experience in the Financial Services industry.

Java Developer - Senior – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract position.
