Java Developer:
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Java Developer for a 9-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Java Developer - Job Description:
The project involves backend platform modernization to enhance the efficiency and performance of existing systems. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in a collaborative team environment.

Java Developer - Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with a team of 8 in a highly interactive and supportive environment
• Participate in onboarding and knowledge transfer of existing applications
• Engage in 1-2 hours of meetings per day, interacting internally within the bank
• Contribute to the backend development and platform modernization efforts

Java Developer - Mandatory Skills:
• 5+ years of Java experience
• 5+ years of backend or full stack experience
• Jira and Confluence experience
• Agile experience

Java Developer – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Angular experience
• No SQL or Cosmos DB experience
• Banking or financial institution experience

Java Developer – Assignment Length:
This is a 9-month contract position with the possibility of extension or conversion based on business needs and performance.

Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days onsite and 3 days working from home.
