Junior AI Engineer:
On behalf of our Automotive client, Procom is searching for a Junior AI Engineer for a 6 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Markham, Ontario office.

Junior AI Engineer - Job Description:
Support the design, development, and deployment of AI solutions under senior guidance. Contribute to the AI model lifecycle, from data preparation through deployment support and monitoring, while building foundational AI/ML skills.

Junior AI Engineer - Responsibilities:
• Support development and deployment of AI solutions (classic AI, deep learning, and where applicable, generative/agentic AI) under senior guidance
• Build and test models using frameworks like Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch
• Help maintain model data pipelines, dashboards, and reports
• Assist with codebase maintenance (GitHub, Watson Studio) and model documentation
• Follow data governance, privacy, and security policies
• Support integration of models into business processes
• Track progress and document work in Jira
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders

Junior AI Engineer - Mandatory Skills:
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
• 1–2 years of experience in AI/ML, data science, or related roles (internships/co-ops count)
• Proficiency in Python or R
• Working knowledge of at least one ML framework (Scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch)
• Basic SQL and ETL/data integration familiarity
• Comfort with EDA and identifying data patterns
• Working knowledge of Git

Junior AI Engineer – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Exposure to agentic AI (e.g., LangChain, AutoGen, or similar agent frameworks)
• Familiarity with a cloud AI platform (AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, IBM watsonx)
• MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow)
• Visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
• Exposure to Agile environments

Junior AI Engineer – Assignment Length:
This is a 6 month contract position.

Markham, Ontario, Canada with a hybrid work arrangement requiring 3 days in the office.
