Junior Field Technician
On behalf of our Technology client, Procom is searching for a Junior Field Technician for a 3-month contract to hire role. This position is onsite position located in New York City, NY.

Junior Field Technician - Job Description:
Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Field Technician to join our growing field services team. This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in structured cabling, low-voltage systems, and IT hardware installation across commercial and enterprise environments.

Junior Field Technician - Responsibilities:
• Shadow Level One technicians on site and assist with installations
• Handle small standalone tasks independently such as POS hardware swaps, label runs, monitor replacements, and basic cable pulls
• Act as a spotter for Level One technicians working above six feet
• Document all work performed including diagrams, testing results, and service reports
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and functional condition
• Assist with installation of structured cabling, CCTV, POS systems, digital signage, and fiber optic systems under supervision

Junior Field Technician - Mandatory Skills:
• Basic cabling knowledge
• Hands-on technical aptitude
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
• Willingness to travel
• OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Junior Field Technician – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Coursework in Electrical, IT, or Networking
• Interest in low-voltage systems and IT infrastructure
• Experience with access control systems

Junior Field Technician – Assignment Length:
This is a 3-month contract to hire position.
