On behalf of our IT Services client, Procom is searching for a Junior Field Technician for a permanent role. This position is onsite at our client’s Dallas, Texas office.

Junior Field Technician Texas - Job Description:
Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Field Technician to join our growing field services team. This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in structured cabling, low-voltage systems, and IT hardware installation across commercial and enterprise environments.

Junior Field Technician Texas - Responsibilities:
• Assist in the installation, termination, and testing of structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A) and fiber optic cables
• Support installation and troubleshooting of access control systems, CCTV/security cameras, and alarm systems
• Aid in the setup, cabling, and maintenance of POS systems, self-checkout kiosks, and retail hardware
• Participate in the installation and mounting of digital displays, menu boards, and video walls
• Work alongside senior techs to troubleshoot and service network connectivity and device functionality onsite
• Document all work performed, including diagrams, testing results, and service reports
• Adhere to safety standards, building codes, and customer site policies at all times
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and functional condition

Junior Field Technician Texas - Mandatory Skills:
• High school diploma or equivalent; diploma or coursework in Electrical, IT, or Networking is an asset
• Interest in low-voltage systems, IT infrastructure, and hands-on technical work
• Basic knowledge of cabling, hardware installation, and electrical safety practices
• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, cable testers, and ladders
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
• Ability to travel regularly and occasionally work evenings or weekends based on project schedules

Junior Field Technician Texas – Nice-to-Have Skills:
