Lead Accountant III:
On behalf of our Oil & Gas client, Procom is searching for a Lead Accountant III for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Houston, TX 77079 office.

Lead Accountant III - Job Description:
The Lead Accountant III will focus on managing the financial aspects of joint venture arrangements, ensuring optimization of financial performance, and maintaining accurate accounting and budgeting records. This role involves preparing financial statements, facilitating cash management, and supporting quarterly regulatory reporting requirements.

Lead Accountant III - Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and support schedules for internal management and partners
• Prepare, review, and approve monthly journal entries including joint venture billings
• Perform research and analysis for ad hoc questions or requests from partners
• Interact with other groups inside the company, including Business Development, Treasury, and Reporting
• Prepare annual budgets for internal management and individual joint ventures
• Coordinate cash calls and cash distributions with partners
• Prepare and review quarterly and annual FERC Form 3 and Form 2 reports
• Coordinate and interact with internal and external auditors on quarterly and year-end audits
• Ensure compliance with SOX controls and related reporting requirements
• Provide guidance to analysts as needed
• Special projects as required

Lead Accountant III - Mandatory Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 6+ years of related experience
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization
• Excellent organization, planning, and analytical skills
• Experience in joint venture accounting
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Proficient in teamwork and collaboration

Lead Accountant III – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• CPA certification
• Experience with FERC reporting
• Knowledge of SOX compliance
• Familiarity with cash management procedures
• Experience in the Oil & Gas industry

Lead Accountant III – Assignment Length:
This is a 12-month contract position.
