Mainframe Developer, COBOL/DB2
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Mainframe Developer, COBOL/DB2 for a 4 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Mainframe Developer, COBOL/DB2 - Job Description:
This role supports the development of a new initiative focused on small business line management, specifically automation to manage credit limit decreases. The project is currently in the development phase, aiming to enhance customer risk assessment solutions for retail banking.

Mainframe Developer, COBOL/DB2 - Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain applications using COBOL on mainframe systems
• Perform unit testing of COBOL/DB2 modules
• Support QA Testing (QAT) execution and defect resolution
• Collaborate with team members to deliver enhancements and improvements

Mainframe Developer, COBOL/DB2 - Mandatory Skills:
• 5+ years of development experience in all these Mainframe technologies: Cobol, JCL, DB2
• Hands-on experience with version control tools: Endevor (preferred) or similar tools (e.g., Control-M)

Mainframe Developer, COBOL/DB2 – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with scheduling tools such as CA7
• Financial industry experience is an asset
• Experience with Jenkins and Bitbucket is an additional advantage

Mainframe Developer, COBOL/DB2 – Assignment Length:
The contract duration is from ASAP to October 31, 2026, with a strong likelihood of extension for high-performing candidates.

Toronto, Ontario, Canada; Hybrid work arrangement with 2 days in the office per week, subject to change based on business needs.
