Microsoft 365 Adoption and Training Specialist:
On behalf of our Education client, Procom is searching for a Microsoft 365 Adoption and Training Specialist for a 4 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Microsoft 365 Adoption and Training Specialist - Job Description:
The Microsoft 365 Adoption and Training Specialist will design and deliver hands-on training to help staff use Microsoft 365 tools effectively. The role involves working with departments to identify knowledge gaps and improve productivity, communication, and collaboration through tailored training sessions.

Microsoft 365 Adoption and Training Specialist - Responsibilities:
• Develop and deliver in-person, hands-on Microsoft 365 training sessions for departments and teams across Victoria University.
• Meet with departments to understand their workflows, communication practices, collaboration needs, and common pain points.
• Customize training content to reflect practical staff use cases and varying levels of technical comfort.
• Provide basic training on Microsoft 365 Copilot, including effective prompting, common productivity scenarios, responsible use, and limitations.
• Create supporting training materials, such as quick reference guides, tip sheets, FAQs, session outlines, and other reusable staff resources.
• Support the creation of training recordings where appropriate, including recorded demonstrations or session recordings for future reference.
• Promote consistent and effective use of Microsoft 365 tools across departments, with a focus on collaboration, communication, document management, and process improvement.
• Provide informal coaching, office hours, or follow-up support to reinforce training outcomes and address staff questions.
• Identify recurring knowledge gaps, adoption barriers, and opportunities to improve staff workflows using Microsoft 365 tools.
• Work with IT Services and relevant stakeholders to align training content with institutional standards, security expectations, and recommended practices.

Microsoft 365 Adoption and Training Specialist - Mandatory Skills:
• Demonstrated experience delivering Microsoft 365 training to business users in a professional environment.
• Strong working knowledge of core Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forms, Planner, To Do, and Loop.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Experience developing training materials, quick reference guides, and user support documentation.
• Comfortable facilitating hands-on, interactive sessions with groups of varying skill levels.
• Understanding of Microsoft 365 collaboration, communication, file management, and productivity best practices.
• Strong communication, facilitation, planning, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Microsoft 365 Adoption and Training Specialist – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Microsoft Certified Trainer or equivalent instructional experience.
• Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, or Copilot-related certifications or training credentials.
• Experience with Microsoft adoption, change management, or service adoption frameworks.
• Experience supporting adoption initiatives in higher education, public sector, or complex professional environments.
• Experience creating accessible and inclusive training materials for diverse staff audiences.

Microsoft 365 Adoption and Training Specialist – Assignment Length:
This is a 4 month contract position.
