Microsoft Purview eDiscovery Specialist:
On behalf of our corporate client, Procom is searching for a Microsoft Purview eDiscovery Specialist for a defined-scope project role. This position is a remote position with our client.  

Microsoft Purview eDiscovery Specialist - Job Description:
Our client is undertaking a corporate divestiture and requires a Microsoft Purview eDiscovery Specialist to manage the identification, collection, and validation of content related to the divested entity within their Microsoft 365 environment. The project involves supporting data separation, records management, and transfer requirements, ensuring that relevant content is located and documented for compliance purposes.

Microsoft Purview eDiscovery Specialist - Responsibilities:
• Review and validate a client-provided search criteria document
• Configure and run Microsoft Purview eDiscovery searches across Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Microsoft Teams
• Refine search queries iteratively to improve precision and reduce noise/false positives
• Review search results and statistics with the client to confirm relevance
• Export identified content per client and legal requirements
• Document the discovery process, decisions, and findings for audit/compliance purposes
• Flag any gaps, ambiguities, or scope questions

Microsoft Purview eDiscovery Specialist - Mandatory Skills:
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview eDiscovery
• Experience building and refining keyword/Boolean search queries
• Familiarity with legal hold, custodian management, and export/review set workflows
• Understanding of records retention concepts
• Strong documentation skills
• Comfortable working directly with client teams

Microsoft Purview eDiscovery Specialist – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Prior experience supporting M&A, divestiture, or carve-out data separation projects
• Experience with Security & Compliance PowerShell
• Background in litigation support, information governance, or compliance consulting

Microsoft Purview eDiscovery Specialist – Assignment Length:
This is a defined-scope project role with a specific duration.
