MS SQL Database Administrator - Public Cloud Support:
On behalf of our Technology Operations & Engineering client, Procom is searching for a MS SQL Database Administrator - Public Cloud Support for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2-4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

MS SQL Database Administrator - Public Cloud Support - Job Description:
The project involves providing comprehensive database administration support for Public Cloud MSSQL offerings such as Azure MI, Azure SQL Databases, and GCP Cloud SQL MSSQL. The role requires end-to-end management of database deployment, integration, and ongoing support to ensure smooth operations post-GoLive.

MS SQL Database Administrator - Public Cloud Support - Responsibilities:
• Monitor the system and act upon system and application automated alerts
• Perform diagnostics, testing, and troubleshooting of software, o/s, and database issues
• Plan and perform software installation, configuration, upgrade, and patching
• Plan and perform database configuration, maintenance, upgrade, and patching
• Perform and manage system and database backups
• Perform manual switch to redundant system/database components in case of system failure
• Provide on-site database and system support
• Monitor, collect statistical information, and provide reporting on capacity and system performance

MS SQL Database Administrator - Public Cloud Support - Mandatory Skills:
• 8+ years Database Administration experience with MSSQL
• 8+ years experience in providing technical support for database administration and operations
• 5+ years of Experience with SQL Always-On, mirroring, clustering, and data replication
• 3+ years of Experience with application-side tuning
• 5+ years of Experience with Windows server 2012/2016/2019

MS SQL Database Administrator - Public Cloud Support – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with Windows 10/8/7 client operating systems
• Experience with VB, C#, PowerShell, Azure Cloud
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Linux, ksh
• Experience providing DBA support for Public Cloud MSSQL offerings

MS SQL Database Administrator - Public Cloud Support – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension and conversion to FTE.

ASAP.

MS SQL Database Administrator - Public Cloud Support - Assignment Location:
Toronto, Ontario, Canada - Hybrid position with 2-4 days onsite per week based on business needs.
