Job Description

We are seeking a Multimedia Support Technician who is responsible for the installation, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of audio/visual systems, live streaming and broadcasting equipment, desktop and laptop computers, multifunction printers, scanners, plotters, video conferencing systems, and mobile devices. The role provides both on-site and remote technical support, ensuring reliable performance of technology used for meetings, events, presentations, and day-to-day business operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, experience supporting A/V and end-user technologies, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Occasional after-hours, weekend, holiday, and on-call support may be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide setup, operation, support, and teardown of audio/visual equipment for meetings, presentations, training sessions, and special events.
  • Support Tier 2 and Tier 3 incidents involving audio/visual equipment, desktop and laptop computers, multifunction printers, scanners, plotters, mobile devices, and conferencing technologies.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot projectors, displays, microphones, mixers, speakers, and related A/V equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on multifunction printers, scanners, and plotters.
  • Coordinate equipment deployments, relocations, installations, and deliveries with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors.
  • Support live and virtual meetings, including video conferencing and streaming technologies.
  • Create and maintain troubleshooting guides, process documentation, user training materials, and knowledge base articles.
  • Prioritize and manage daily work assignments while maintaining high service levels.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, procedures, and operational efficiency.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies through research, training, and professional development.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience supporting and maintaining audio/visual equipment, including LCD/LED displays, projectors, and PA systems.
  • Experience working within a tiered technical support environment.
  • Experience supporting multifunction printers, scanners, and plotters.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze issues and deliver effective solutions.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and Windows Active Directory environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree or higher.
  • CompTIA A+ Certification.
  • CompTIA Network+ Certification.
  • Knowledge of audio/visual technologies and industry best practices.
  • Familiarity with reprographics and print management environments.
