On behalf of our banking client, Procom is searching for a Network Analyst - Automation Specialist for a contract role. This position is a remote position located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Network Analyst - Automation Specialist - Job Description:
This project involves the Mythos - Cybersecurity initiative, focusing on automated firmware lifecycle management and infrastructure compliance. The role includes upgrading and maintaining network systems to enhance security and operational efficiency.
Network Analyst - Automation Specialist - Responsibilities:
• Plan and execute end-to-end network patching and upgrades using Cisco Catalyst Center and Cisco Nexus Dashboard
• Continuously audit infrastructure against PSIRTs and CVEs
• Develop and maintain automated patching playbooks and infrastructure templates using Python, Ansible, or Terraform
• Configure validation scripts to ensure zero telemetry or routing state loss during maintenance
• Deploy scheduled upgrades with minimal-downtime micro-patching sequences
• Manage configuration compliance and centralized policy enforcement using Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller
• Document and modernize SOPs into automated CI/CD-style pipelines
• Collaborate with NetDevOps and Cyber Security teams for network automation alignment
Network Analyst - Automation Specialist - Mandatory Skills:
• Valid Cisco CCNP certification
• 10 years of experience in enterprise-scale networking
• Advanced knowledge of Cisco Catalyst Center and Cisco Nexus Dashboard
• Proficiency in Python scripting and network automation tools (Ansible/Terraform)
• Experience with F5 load-balancer
• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls
• Deep architectural knowledge of enterprise networking primitives
Network Analyst - Automation Specialist – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Cisco Certified DevNet Associate/Professional
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices
• Familiarity with software-defined architectures
• Knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VxLAN EVPN, Cisco ACI
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills
