Network Analyst:
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Network Analyst for a 12 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Mississauga office.

Network Analyst - Job Description:
The Network Analyst will be responsible for monitoring network performance and capacity, analyzing and projecting current and future growth needs for WAN, LAN, and Firewalls within a high QoS enabled environment. The role involves troubleshooting incidents related to network performance and capacity and analyzing packet traces to identify root causes.

Network Analyst - Responsibilities:
• Perform performance and capacity monitoring, troubleshooting, analysis, planning, recommendation, and tracking/reporting for the existing network and its elements based on data analysis and baseline trend analysis.
• Support complex application performance-related incidents and contribute to high-priority enterprise incidents.
• Work with Network and Client (LOB) Architects to stay informed about network plans and projects, assisting in the planning process and assessing network needs and upgrade requirements.
• Monitor network capacity issues proactively, report and remedy them before they escalate.
• Provide consulting on testing new technology from a performance, capacity, and service availability standpoint.
• Analyze packet traces for understanding application flows and derive issues related to network capacity to provide recommendations for optimal use of the network.
• Maintain detailed growth models on an ongoing basis for each Line of Business.

Network Analyst - Mandatory Skills:
• Strong technical background with 5+ years of troubleshooting expertise in network-related IT infrastructure.
• Experience with routers, switches, Datacenter switching, VxLAN, ACI(SDN), load balancers, Firewalls, DNS & DHCP services, LAN/WAN circuits, and SDWAN.
• Ability to make necessary recommendations and follow through with the entire process until implementation.
• Experience working in a large enterprise and coordinating with multiple internal/external groups.
• Skills in using network sniffers and analyzing traces on platforms like Extrahop, Riverbed ARX, and Netscout Infinistream.
• Skills and experience in capacity planning within a QoS environment.
• Experience in performance and capacity management in emerging technologies like cloud (Azure, AWS) and SDWAN.

Network Analyst – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Scripting knowledge.
• Modeling skills in a tool like OPNET.
• Experience in scripting or advanced tools like SQL extraction, Data Mining.
• Skills in planning capacity for Wireless systems and VoIP.
• Soft skills – working with people and resolving conflicts.

Network Analyst – Assignment Length:
This is a 12 month contract position with the possibility of extension or conversion.

ASAP.

Network Analyst - Assignment Location:
Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. This is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite required per week.
