Network Engineer (Cloud Networking - Azure, GCP):
On behalf of our Consulting client, Procom is searching for a Network Engineer (Cloud Networking - Azure, GCP) for a 6 month contract role. This position is a remote position based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Network Engineer (Cloud Networking - Azure, GCP) - Job Description:
We are seeking a Network Engineer with expertise in Cloud Networking, focusing on Azure, AWS, and GCP. The role involves designing and implementing disaster recovery strategies and managing network security using Palo Alto Firewalls. The candidate will also work on automation and network infrastructure management.

Network Engineer (Cloud Networking - Azure, GCP) - Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and manage cloud network infrastructures in Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Configure, manage, and maintain Palo Alto Firewalls to ensure network security.
• Manage Azure components including Azure Firewall, Network Security Groups (NSGs), Load Balancers, Route Tables, and DNS Zones.
• Develop and implement automation strategies for network management tasks.
• Collaborate with the cloud engineering team to ensure seamless integration between network and cloud infrastructures.
• Implement disaster recovery and network resiliency strategies in cloud networks.
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
• Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
• Provide technical support and guidance to stakeholders and team members.

Network Engineer (Cloud Networking - Azure, GCP) - Mandatory Skills:
• Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role in IT with a focus on networking and site reliability.
• Strong experience with Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Proficiency in Azure components including Azure Firewall, Network Security Groups (NSGs), Load Balancers, Route Tables, and DNS Zones.
• Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls.
• Strong knowledge of implementing disaster recovery and network resiliency strategies in cloud networks.
• Proficiency in automation tools like GitHub/GitHub actions, Terraform, etc.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Network Engineer (Cloud Networking - Azure, GCP) – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Solid understanding of networking principles and technologies.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with GCP network components.
• Experience in site reliability engineering.
• Knowledge of new trends and advancements in cloud networking and automation.

Network Engineer (Cloud Networking - Azure, GCP) – Assignment Length:
This is a 6 month contract position.
