Cisco Network Operations Specialist:
On behalf of our client, Procom is searching for a Cisco Network Operations Specialist for a 3+ month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Calgary office. 

Cisco Network Operations Specialist - Job Description:
NRM is seeking a full-time contractor to support enterprise Cisco network operations. The role focuses on break/fix troubleshooting, change management, and operational support across a complex network environment, emphasizing Cisco firewalls, switches, routing, security, and voice infrastructure.

Cisco Network Operations Specialist - Responsibilities:
• Provide day-to-day operational support for Cisco network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless environments
• Perform break/fix troubleshooting across enterprise network and security platforms
• Execute network changes, upgrades, and service request activities
• Support routing infrastructure leveraging BGP and enterprise WAN connectivity
• Manage and troubleshoot Cisco Firepower / Next-Generation Firewall environments
• Support Cisco Unified Communications (UC), SIP trunking, and VoIP services
• Maintain high availability for voice and emergency communication systems, including 911 failover capabilities
• Support connectivity across distributed office and remote sites
• Ensure reliable connectivity across primary and secondary data center environments

Cisco Network Operations Specialist - Mandatory Skills:
• Strong hands-on experience supporting Cisco Firewalls (Firepower / NGFW), Switches, and Routers
• Experience managing and troubleshooting enterprise Cisco security infrastructure
• Strong Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking knowledge including VLANs, routing, switching, and BGP
• Hands-on break/fix troubleshooting in enterprise production environments
• Experience supporting Cisco Unified Communications (UC) and VoIP environments
• Experience executing change management activities within ITIL-based environments
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to support critical production operations

Cisco Network Operations Specialist – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) and security policy management
• Experience with Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switching platforms
• Experience supporting distributed or industrial network environments
• Familiarity with wireless controller administration and migrations
• Experience supporting remote sites utilizing multiple connectivity methods

Cisco Network Operations Specialist – Assignment Length:
This is a contract position for 3 months with the possibility of extension.
