Network Security Specialist
Location: National Capital Region (Hybrid/On-Site as Required)
Security Clearance: Top Secret Clearance Required
Contract Duration: 5 Years + 5-Year Option Period (Up to 10 Years Total)

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare and modify operational procedures and network configuration documentation as needed.
• Develop build guides for new systems.
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures.
• Respond to incidences and tickets.
• Build cross domain solutions which includes building Linux servers, installing configuring security appliances IDS/IPS, content filtering solutions.
• Develop, implement various security components and services such as firewalls, VPN, network access control and encryption.
• Maintain the Enterprise Security suite of products.
• Patch/update security appliances/servers.
• Configure fault and performance monitoring for security devices, networking devices and servers.
• Provide regular and timely updates, status of tasks to the unit head verbally and in written format.
• Participate in any assigned projects and strategic planning activities.
• Provide knowledge, skill transfer and training to other members.

Senior Network Security Specialist
• University undergraduate degree or diploma or Ten (10) years of progressive experience in IT.
• 10+ years of experience in Linux server administration.
• Experience security related hardware, software and systems including firewalls, load balancers, proxies, IDS/IPS or URL content filtering.
• Experience using Cross domain solution components like, data diodes, Content Filtering Applications or malware detection applications.
• Recent experience (within the last 5 years) of Windows server administration.
• Experience in scripting (Python, Bash shell scripting, PowerShell). Resources are required to have relevant and recent experience in the last 5 years.
• Experience with Enterprise Security Solutions (Anti-virus, Data Loss Prevention, Web content filtering or Web Proxies). Resources are required to have relevant and recent experience in the last 5 years.
• Experience with data flow management application (ex: Apache NIFI). Resources are required to have relevant and recent experience in the last 5 years.
