P25 Radio Network Technical Architect
On behalf of our Government client, Procom is searching for a P25 Radio Network Technical Architect for a 9-month role. This position is a remote position based in Peterborough, Ontario.

P25 Radio Network Technical Architect - Job Description
The project involves upgrading Ontario's Public Safety Radio Network (PSRN) to enhance its compatibility and functionality. The role focuses on developing, recommending, implementing, and managing the technical architecture for a large, distributed cross-platform environment.

P25 Radio Network Technical Architect - Responsibilities
• Develop and manage technical architecture, including hardware, software, database, and communications.
• Identify relevant information and determine the development environment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and manage vendor coordination.
• Oversee project governance and ensure network design and deployment.
• Facilitate transition from old to new network infrastructure.

P25 Radio Network Technical Architect - Mandatory Skills
• Extensive knowledge of P25 radio technology with a minimum of eight years of experience.
• Minimum of five years in a supervisory position managing P25 radio networks.
• Hands-on experience with voice and data encryption equipment.
• Proficiency with Motorola ZoneWatch, Provisioning Manager, and Unified Event Manager.
• Demonstrated project management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to obtain OPP Level 4 Security Clearance.

P25 Radio Network Technical Architect – Nice-to-Have Skills
• Experience with IT infrastructure modernization projects.
• Experience with IP networks, telephony, and satellite systems.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes.
• Experience in developing enterprise architecture deliverables.
• Awareness of emerging technologies and trends.

P25 Radio Network Technical Architect – Assignment Length
This is a contract position running from July 13th to March 31, 2027.
