Job Description
Patient Liaison:
On behalf of our healthcare client, Procom is searching for a Patient Liaison for a contract role. This position is an onsite position at our client’s Aurora, Colorado office.
Patient Liaison - Job Description:
The Patient Liaison acts as a communication bridge between patients and healthcare professionals, providing accurate and culturally appropriate interpretation through video remote services. This role ensures that non-English speaking, deaf, or hard of hearing individuals fully understand medical information, treatment plans, and services.
Patient Liaison - Responsibilities:
• Provide real-time video remote interpretation between patients, families, and healthcare providers in the patient’s preferred language
• Accurately interpret medical terminology, including anatomy, procedures, and medications
• Support effective communication in both clinical and non-clinical settings
• Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with all patient privacy policies
• Assist with translation of written documents, as needed
• Act as a trusted cultural and linguistic resource for care teams
Patient Liaison - Mandatory Skills:
• Successful completion of a medical interpreter competency assessment
• Completion of a 40-hour medical interpreter training program
• Minimum of 2 years of medical interpretation experience
• Strong bilingual communication skills and fluency in medical terminology
• Proficiency in basic computer and technology use
• Ability to exercise critical thinking and sound judgment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Patient Liaison – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Prior Video Remote Interpretation experience
• Certified Medical Interpreter (CMI) or Certified Healthcare Interpreter (CHI) credential
• Commitment to equity, cultural sensitivity, and patient advocacy
• Experience in fast-paced clinical settings
• Problem-solving skills

This is a 13 week contract position.
