Payments Officer - Operations:
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Payments Officer - Operations for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 weeks onsite at our client’s Scarborough office.

Payments Officer - Operations - Job Description:
The Payments Officer - Operations is responsible for ensuring business strategies, plans, and initiatives are executed in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures. This role involves processing wire payments as part of Money Transfer Operations.

Payments Officer - Operations - Responsibilities:
• Lead and drive a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships
• Ensure prompt and efficient repair and verification of wire payment instructions
• Proactively participate in process improvements and quality control
• Manage daily workflows and contribute to all queues for payment execution
• Clarify inconsistencies and review operator errors to establish best practices
• Understand and apply the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture in daily activities
• Create a high-performing environment and implement a people strategy

Payments Officer - Operations - Mandatory Skills:
• 3-4 years of experience
• Analytical skills and ability to work independently
• Computer skills, including typing and using Microsoft Office

Payments Officer - Operations – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Previous Banking experience
• Accounting experience is an asset

Payments Officer - Operations – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension.

ASAP.

Payments Officer - Operations - Assignment Location:
Scarborough, Ontario, Canada, with a hybrid work arrangement of 2 weeks in the office and 2 weeks from home.
