Job Description

Performance Engineer:
On behalf of our banking client, Procom is searching for a Performance Engineer for a 1-year role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Mississauga office.

Performance Engineer - Job Description:
This role involves supporting various projects across the enterprise, primarily focusing on enhancing application performance. The successful candidates will be backfilling positions within a large team, contributing to long-term, impactful projects for the bank.

Performance Engineer - Responsibilities:
• Conduct end-to-end performance engineering activities including requirement gathering, planning, scripting, execution, analysis, troubleshooting, tuning, and reporting.
• Develop and execute performance testing scripts and scenarios using JMeter.
• Perform deep-dive performance monitoring and analysis with Dynatrace.
• Define workload models and execute large-scale performance tests to ensure system stability, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze results and recommend optimizations.

Performance Engineer - Mandatory Skills:
• Core Performance Testing & Engineering Skills
• Proficiency in JMeter
• Expertise in Dynatrace
• Strong understanding of Non-Functional Requirements & Architecture
• Performance Tuning & Optimization

Performance Engineer – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Skilled in Splunk, Log Analysis & Datadog
• Exposure to SRE Skillsets
• Experience with Test Data & Virtualization
• Client-Side & End-User Experience

Performance Engineer – Assignment Length:
This is a 1-year contract position with the possibility of extension or conversion.

Performance Engineer - Assignment Location:
Mississauga, Ontario, Canada with a hybrid work arrangement requiring 2 days onsite.
