Power BI/ Data Analytics Systems Analyst
On behalf of our Utilities client, Procom is searching for a Power BI/ Data Analytics Systems Analyst for a multi-year role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Edmonton office.

Power BI/ Data Analytics Systems Analyst - Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Power BI/ Data Analytics Systems Analyst to support various IT assignments within their Power, Water, and Drainage business units. The role involves working on project-focused initiatives, primarily enhancing and configuring existing applications. 

Power BI/ Data Analytics Systems Analyst - Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, document, and maintain applications
• Participate actively in Agile delivery, including sprint planning and daily stand-ups
• Accept and act on feedback from end users
• Provide constructive feedback through sprint retrospectives
• Complete assigned development tasks
• Assist project architects with technical decisions

Power BI/ Data Analytics Systems Analyst - Mandatory Skills:
• Completion of a 4-year Computer Science or Engineering degree, or a 2-year Computer Engineering/System Technology diploma
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software development
• Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Python, PySpark, SQL, Unity Catalogue
• Expertise in Power BI (DAX), Paginated Reports, Oracle BI, Oracle SQL, Row Level Security
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks/Spark, Power BI, Power BI Paginated Reports

Power BI/ Data Analytics Systems Analyst – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with LakeFS
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and other Azure services
• Programming skills in SQL, Python, .NET, DAX
• Data modelling experience

Power BI/ Data Analytics Systems Analyst – Assignment Length:
This is a contract position until 31-April-2027, with potential extensions.
