Privacy Consultant
On behalf of our healthcare client, Procom is searching for a Privacy Consultant for a part-time role. This position is a hybrid position with the flexibility to work remotely or onsite in Regina, Saskatchewan, as required.
Privacy Consultant - Job Description:
The Privacy Consultant will support our public sector client by managing privacy and access deliverables. This includes providing data access to secondary data users and supporting eHealth as the Information Service Management Provider, ensuring compliance with privacy best practices.
Privacy Consultant - Responsibilities:
• Execute Data Access Request reviews according to work standards and timelines.
• Complete Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) and Implementation Plan.
• Develop and support policies and procedures in compliance with privacy best practices.
• Refine and manage the privacy program, including curriculum development and training.
• Manage the development of new and amended content in collaboration with staff.
• Encourage collaboration on data and privacy practices and legislation.
• Participate in various committees, including MHDSA Policy & Procedure Committee.
• Provide regular status updates to HRDP-SK/SCPOR and eHealth leadership and partners.
Privacy Consultant - Mandatory Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as health information, social science, or public administration.
• Minimum of five years of experience as a Privacy Consultant.
• Expert knowledge of Saskatchewan's privacy legislation, particularly The Health Information Protection Act (HIPA).
• Extensive experience conducting privacy impact assessments (PIAs).
• Experience developing and implementing privacy programs and policies.
• Knowledge of Ownership, Control, Access, and Possession (OCAP) principles.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply legislation, including HIPA and FOIP.
Privacy Consultant – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience working with healthcare projects.
• Completion of the TCPS: CORE-2022 (Course on Research Ethics).
• Familiarity with current trends and challenges in information privacy, such as artificial intelligence.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Privacy Consultant – Assignment Length:
This is a part-time position with an anticipated level of effort of approximately 20 hours per week.

ASAP.
Privacy Consultant - Assignment Location:
Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada with remote, onsite, or hybrid work arrangements as required. Available during eHealth Saskatchewan's business hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST, Monday to Friday.
