Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Specialist - Senior:
On behalf of our Government Sector client, Procom is searching for a Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Specialist - Senior for a 1-year role. This position is onsite 5 days a week at our client’s Toronto office.

Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Specialist - Senior - Job Description:
The Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Specialist - Senior will lead or support the development of privacy impact assessments to ensure compliance with legal and policy privacy requirements. The role involves evaluating new technologies, information systems, or proposed programs to mitigate risks and address privacy concerns.

Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Specialist - Senior - Responsibilities:
• Lead or support the development of privacy impact assessments
• Ensure compliance with provincial, municipal, federal, and private sector access and privacy legislation
• Conduct privacy assessments involving online and mobile digital solutions
• Develop privacy-enhancing tools and techniques
• Provide privacy and data governance advisory services
• Assist with the development of statutory and regulatory instruments

Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Specialist - Senior - Mandatory Skills:
• Experience with privacy impact assessments involving PHIPA and FIPPA
• Understanding of digital credential platforms and decentralized models for credentials (SSI)
• Familiarity with strong security, encryption, and privacy protection approaches
• Experience with decentralized credential systems and digital wallets
• Knowledge of Ontario’s Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA) and related legislation
• Excellent communication skills with technical and business audiences

Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Specialist - Senior – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Public Sector experience
• Current OPS security clearance
• Experience providing education and training related to privacy
• Knowledge of policies and procedures of the Ontario government
• Professional certification from a related discipline such as IT security

Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Specialist - Senior – Assignment Length:
This is a 1-year contract position.
