Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Specialist - Senior:
On behalf of our Government Sector client, Procom is searching for a Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Specialist - Senior for a 12 month  role. This position is onsite 5 days a week at our client’s Toronto, Ontario office.

Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Specialist - Senior - Job Description:
The Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Specialist - Senior will lead and support the development of Privacy Impact Assessments for new technologies and systems. The role involves ensuring compliance with applicable privacy statutes and addressing client concerns related to privacy requirements.

Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Specialist - Senior - Responsibilities:
• Develop and deliver PIA deliverables, including PIA Reports and training materials
• Prepare in-depth reports tailored to the target audience, analyzing risks and impacts on personal information and privacy controls
• Leverage project management framework to manage timelines and budget
• Provide privacy advice on PIA approaches, best practices, and mitigation strategies
• Consult, negotiate, and mediate across diverse expert groups to gather and coordinate input

Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Specialist - Senior - Mandatory Skills:
• Excellent knowledge of privacy and security concepts, trends, and issues
• Experience in conducting Privacy Impact Assessments in the public sector context
• Knowledge and ability to interpret and apply Ontario’s Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA) and its municipal equivalent
• Knowledge of privacy laws, regulations, and jurisprudence
• Ability to lead, manage, or support the development of a PIA independently or as part of a team

Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Specialist - Senior – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Familiarity with federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA)
• Familiarity with OPS Privacy Impact Assessment Process and Tools
• Experience in developing risk assessment tools and methodologies
• Knowledge of IT security and system design
• Experience with records management policies and procedures

This is a 12 month contract position.
