On behalf of our public sector client, Procom is searching for a Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Specialist - Senior for a 6-month role. This position is an onsite position with 5 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Specialist - Senior - Job Description
The new Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Specialist role involves guiding, influencing, and leading the planning and development of Privacy Impact Assessments to evaluate whether new technologies, information systems, or proposed policies meet legal privacy requirements and address client concerns. The role is integral to ensuring compliance with various privacy laws and regulations.

Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Specialist - Senior - Responsibilities
• Guide and lead the planning and development of Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA)
• Ensure program compliance with FIPPA, PIPEDA, PHIPA, and other privacy laws
• Provide consultative advice and guidance on privacy laws and policies
• Manage PIA service resource utilization and intake queue
• Provide guidance and leadership to staff, planning work and setting objectives
• Lead client stakeholder management and provide strategic advice
• Participate in cross-cluster/IPC/Ministry research teams and committees

Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Specialist - Senior - Mandatory Skills
• Excellent knowledge of privacy and security concepts, trends, and issues
• Understanding of privacy impact on business processes and compliance requirements
• Knowledge of information privacy laws, regulations, and jurisprudence
• Familiarity with OPS Privacy Impact Assessment Process and Tools
• Good understanding of IT security, system design, policy development, and related disciplines

Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Specialist - Senior – Nice-to-Have Skills
• Experience in Freedom of Information administration
• Knowledge of business analysis and risk management
• Understanding of project management principles
• Experience in legal processes related to privacy
• Ability to engage in strategic privacy projects

This is a 6-month contract position.
