Procurement Advisor:
On behalf of our client, Procom is searching for a Procurement Advisor for a long-term role. This position is an onsite position based at our client's Calgary office.

Procurement Advisor - Job Description:
We are seeking a Procurement Advisor to support the Midstream Capital Project portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for the sourcing and procurement lifecycle activities supporting capital projects across our client's Midstream assets, which enable the products produced to be transported and sold in the most economical and profitable way across an integrated network of terminals, pipelines, tank farms, and transportation modes spanning Canada and the US.

Procurement Advisor - Responsibilities:

  • Manage the portfolio and actively participate in meetings to collate demand, evaluate business requirements, and identify opportunities.
  • Source, procure and ensure timely delivery of material and services.
  • Develop RFQ packages, bid evaluation and selection criteria, lead negotiations and form Purchase Orders for material and service commitments.
  • Manage the Purchase Order process, including formation, change management and close-out activities.
  • Advise business stakeholders and support continuous improvement initiatives across all aspects of supply chain.
  • Drive compliance with SCM policies, procedures, and strategies.

Procurement Advisor - Mandatory Skills:

  • Minimum 6+ years of directly related professional experience and/or a combination of commercial and technical work experience.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in procurement, contract management, and/or strategic sourcing, with demonstrated capability in leading sourcing events, negotiation, and supplier management.
  • Experience successfully leading cross-functional or multi-disciplinary teams to develop and execute projects, initiatives, and strategies that drive outstanding results and value creation.
  • Highly developed analytical and business acumen, solid business insight and commercial skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Understanding of and experience with engineering & construction project processes, and the interfaces and roles of a Project Contact.
  • A strong understanding of contracting and commercial concepts and processes, along with strong negotiation skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to quickly build trust and respectful relationships with diverse groups.
  • Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written.

Procurement Advisor – Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Recognized professional designations and training (SCMP, PMP, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, SAP, LiveLink, and Tableau.
  • Bilingualism (English and French).

Procurement Advisor – Assignment Length:
This is a long-term contract position from 2026-09-14 to 2027-09-14 (expected duration 2-3 years based on performance).

Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Onsite role, regular 40-hour work week Monday to Friday.
