Procurement Advisors:
On behalf of our Oil & Gas client, Procom is searching for Procurement Advisors for a one-year contract role. This position is an onsite position at our client’s Calgary or Fort McMurray office.

Procurement Advisors - Job Description:
We are seeking a strategic, results-driven professional to join our Supply Chain organization as a Procurement Advisor focused on the procurement of materials and services for Mine & Tailings capital projects. This role involves managing complex procurement activities, including conducting sourcing events, evaluating supplier proposals, and negotiating commercial terms to ensure alignment with project schedules and budgets.

Procurement Advisors - Responsibilities:
• Manage the procurement of materials and services for Mine & Tailings capital projects
• Lead sourcing activities, including development, issuance, and administration of RFx events
• Evaluate supplier proposals, conduct commercial assessments, and support supplier selection and award recommendations
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and supply arrangements to achieve value, mitigate risk, and support project objectives
• Manage the end-to-end purchase order lifecycle, including requisition review, PO creation, issuance, change management, expediting, issue resolution, and closeout
• Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business and project requirements and translate them into effective procurement strategies
• Ensure procurement activities are executed in compliance with company policies, procedures, and governance requirements

Procurement Advisors - Mandatory Skills:
• 5–7 years of related professional experience and/or a combination of commercial and technical work experience
• Proven track record in sourcing, procurement execution, and commercial negotiations
• Strong commercial, analytical, and negotiation skills
• Experience managing RFx processes, supplier evaluation, and procurement award recommendations
• Skilled in using SAP, Fieldglass, Ariba, MyTrack, and spend analytics tools
• Strong financial and business acumen
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders

Procurement Advisors – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience in Mine & Tailings projects
• Understanding of supply risk mitigation
• Experience supporting procurement of materials and/or services for capital projects
• Knowledge of continuous improvement initiatives
• Strong communication skills

Procurement Advisors – Assignment Length:
This is a one-year contract position with potential for extension.
