Product Business Analyst – Post Trade:
On behalf of our financial services client, Procom is searching for a Product Business Analyst – Post Trade for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s New York, NY office.
Job Description:
The role involves supporting the enhancement and development of BMO’s Post Trade Technology Platform within Global Markets. The Product Business Analyst will collaborate with business stakeholders and technology teams to define, prioritize, and deliver solutions that improve post-trade lifecycle management, risk controls, and operational efficiency across Equities, Options, Futures, and Fixed Income post-trade operations.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain the product vision and roadmap for Post Trade platforms aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee end-to-end product management including planning, prioritization, delivery, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, compliance, and technology teams to gather requirements and prioritize features.
• Translate business needs into actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications.
• Manage backlog and ensure timely delivery of product enhancements and solutions.
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline trade capture, allocation, confirmation, and settlement processes.
• Partner with vendor engineering teams to deliver scalable and resilient post-trade solutions supporting operational efficiency.
Mandatory Skills:
• 7+ years of experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, Middle Office, Operations, or Post Trade Technology within Capital Markets.
• Deep knowledge of post-trade workflows, trade lifecycle systems, and FIX protocol.
• Experience with Equities, Options, Futures, and Fixed Income products and post-trade processes including allocations, confirmations, trade matching, and settlement.
• Proficiency with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Basic scripting knowledge for data mapping.
• Experience delivering technology solutions supporting post-trade workflows.
• Demonstrated commitment with 24+ months tenure at major financial institutions.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with cloud-based platforms and data analytics tools.
• Prior experience building or enhancing Middle Office technology platforms.
• Understanding of settlement functions for Equities (DTCC, CDS), Fixed Income (FED, BONY, DTCC, CDS), Options (OCC, CDCC), and Futures (GMI).
• Knowledge of Back Office settlement interfaces such as BPS, ICI, Gloss.
• Familiarity with SWIFT MT (MT5xx) message mapping.
Assignment Length:
This is a 12-month contract position with the possibility of extension and conversion to full-time employment.
