Product Owner, Wire Payments Projects (SWIFT and ISO 20022):
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Product Owner, Wire Payments Projects (SWIFT and ISO 20022) for a 12 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto, Ontario office.

Product Owner, Wire Payments Projects (SWIFT and ISO 20022) - Job Description:
The project involves managing wire payments projects with a focus on SWIFT and ISO 20022 impacts as part of the Global Payment Platforms strategy. The Product Owner will enable portfolio teams to make value-based decisions aligned with the strategic vision of the bank’s payment platforms.

Product Owner, Wire Payments Projects (SWIFT and ISO 20022) - Responsibilities:
• Direct the evaluation, development, approval, execution, and value measuring of large-scale strategic payment platforms initiatives.
• Support the definition of enterprise business model, strategy, process, KPIs, benefit, and experience for Global Payment Platforms.
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to shape payments strategies and define executable MVPs.
• Actively engage and participate in industry forums to bring Scotiabank’s eminence to the industry.
• Drive change management efforts within Global Payment Platforms with an end-to-end mindset.

Product Owner, Wire Payments Projects (SWIFT and ISO 20022) - Mandatory Skills:
• 7+ years’ experience managing complex business and technology projects as a Product Owner.
• Strong understanding of wires platforms, global payment operations, clearing and settlement, including SWIFT and ISO 20022 impacts.
• Strong knowledge of product life cycle and agile delivery methodologies.
• Experience acting as a constructive conduit between business and technology development teams.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office.

Product Owner, Wire Payments Projects (SWIFT and ISO 20022) – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Formal agile designations such as CSPO, CSM would be an asset.
• Working knowledge of payment operations surrounding clearing & settlement, and FI cash & treasury management activities would be an asset.
• Experience working in an Agile environment, or with development teams directly.
• Recent experience with top 5 banks or FI is nice to have.
• PMP Certified is nice to have.

The contract is from ASAP to 05/31/2027, with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs.
