Production Accounting Analyst - Job Description

We are seeking an Intermediate Production Accounting Analyst to support a regulatory client on a contract basis. The role applies production accounting, Petrinex and regulatory knowledge to resolve complex volumetric, infrastructure, data-quality and reporting-compliance issues, and supports testing of changes to regulatory systems, data and processes.

Production Accounting Analyst - Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert on production accounting, oil and gas infrastructure data, Petrinex and related reporting requirements
• Investigate and resolve complex reporting, data-quality and compliance issues
• Reconcile discrepancies between Petrinex and regulator information, identify root causes and recommend corrective actions
• Identify, prioritize and test enhancements to Petrinex and regulatory systems and processes before implementation
• Collaborate with internal teams, Petrinex, Government of Alberta, and industry committees and associations
• Manage volumetric reporting noncompliance, including related correspondence and financial adjustments
• Share knowledge and contribute to continuous improvement of production-data and regulatory reporting processes

Assignment Length: Approximately 3 months (contract)
