Production & Supply: Laboratory Technician 1:
On behalf of our Chemical Manufacturing client, Procom is searching for a Production & Supply: Laboratory Technician 1 for a permanent role. This position is onsite at our client’s Slater, Iowa office.

Job Description:
This role involves conducting laboratory formulation work and performing physical-chemical tests under supervision. The technician will be responsible for maintaining safety, cleanliness, and functionality of laboratory equipment while gaining valuable work experience and expanding professional knowledge.

Responsibilities:
• Carry out laboratory formulation work under supervision
• Perform standard work consisting of interrelated steps and processes
• Conduct physical-chemical tests according to test methods
• Formulate simple formulation types (e.g., EC, SC)
• Perform experimental work programs under supervision
• Document experiments and test results for evaluation by the line manager
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and functionality of laboratory equipment

Mandatory Skills:
• Qualification as a chemical laboratory technician or similar
• Experience within a laboratory environment
• Ability to conduct lab work while maintaining a tidy and clean work environment
• Proficiency in English, preferably level A2
• Proficiency in German, preferably level B2
• Use of Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to compile data for reports and presentations

Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Knowledge of LIMS and ELN
• Experience in the field of galenics
• Strong communication skills
• Problem-solving abilities
• Teamwork and collaboration
