Job Description

BMO is currently sourcing for a Program Delivery Consultant. This is a hybrid contract role in Toronto (3 days in office per week).

Role Overview:

The Program Delivery Consultant within the Data & Analytics Centre of Excellence for P&BB Canada leads the end-to-end delivery of innovative banking products and services. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and launch solutions that enhance customer experiences and drive business growth. The position supports strategic planning, product lifecycle management, and data-driven decision-making to ensure impactful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand multi-channel retail banking and evaluate customer insights, market research, and competitive analysis for assigned programs and products.
  • Design, develop, and launch new or enhanced banking products and services through the program delivery lifecycle.
  • Leverage customer experience principles and design thinking to prioritize and inform solution design.
  • Assist in strategic planning by identifying emerging trends and managing product backlogs aligned with business priorities.
  • Provide oversight on testing functions including QA, End-to-End, and UAT to ensure solution quality.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships to drive successful delivery and transition to business-as-usual operations.
  • Use data to monitor product performance, inform prioritization, and support business cases and strategic roadmaps.
  • Partner with Corporate Support Areas to manage risk and ensure compliance within Waterfall and Agile frameworks.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Experience in retail banking product management and multi-channel banking environments.
  • Knowledge of product lifecycle management and program delivery methodologies (Waterfall and Agile).
  • Understanding of design thinking principles and customer experience frameworks.
  • Familiarity with core banking product systems and enabling technology architectures.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen to develop business cases and support decision-making.
  • Experience in testing oversight including QA, End-to-End, and UAT processes.
  • Ability to manage vendor relationships and lead cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Previous experience at a financial institution or major bank.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in banking.
  • Experience with strategic planning and backlog grooming aligned to business objectives.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven track record of delivering high-impact product and service experiences within tight timelines.
  • Ability to synthesize market trends and customer insights to inform innovative solutions.
  • Experience working in a hybrid work environment with strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated capability to influence and mobilize teams through empowerment and collaboration.

Qualifications

Experience in retail banking product management and multi-channel banking environments.: 4 - 4 years (Required)
